Sound Healing

Where sound meets constitution.

Ayursutraz pairs classical Ayurveda with raga therapy, the ancient art of using melodic sound to balance mind and body. It is our quietest, most powerful ritual, and it asks nothing of you but ten minutes of listening.

The idea

Vibration is a ritual too.

Ayurveda understands each of us as a blend of three doshas, and every dosha responds to sound differently. Raga therapy draws on the Indian classical tradition, where each raga (melodic framework) carries a distinct emotional temperature and time of day.

Matched to your constitution, ten minutes of intentional listening can ground a racing mind, cool a heated one, or wake a heavy one. No instruments or training required, only attention.

Dosha and sound

Three constitutions, three soundscapes.

Vata

Air and movement · needs grounding

Slow, warm, low-register sound. Deep drones, soft sustained notes, and unhurried melodies that settle a quick, restless mind.

Pitta

Fire and intensity · needs cooling

Gentle, flowing, moonlit sound. Soothing evening ragas and soft melodic phrases that release heat, ambition, and irritation.

Kapha

Earth and steadiness · needs awakening

Bright, rhythmic, rising sound. Energising morning ragas and lively tempos that lift heaviness and invite movement.

The practice

A ten-minute listening ritual.

01

Choose your moment

Morning listening awakens; evening listening releases. Begin with ten minutes, at the same time each day.

02

Sit with the sound

No screens, no multitasking. Let the music be the whole activity, notice where you feel it in the body.

03

Pair it with breath

Slow the exhale to match the tempo. Sound and pranayama (breath practice) reinforce one another.
